Zepp-LaRouche: Urgent Call to Surmount the Current Dangers and Create a Renaissance in Thinking
On the backdrop of the intense buildup to world war, followed by the German Constitutional Court ruling on Sept. 12 to allow the European Stability Mechanism to proceed, albeit with a few conditions attached, Helga Zepp-LaRouche decided to hold an emergency international webcast on Sept. 22 to present the dire dangers in detail, and issue a corresponding call to action. Zepp-LaRouche opened her keynote with the following:
"We are holding this webcast to generate an international debate around the idea that there is an alternative to the present policies. And I want to call all of you on this occasion to mobilize for the realization of this alternative, which I'm going to present to you.
"What we face as a human civilization is this: We are threatened with the immediate danger of a thermonuclear war, a third World War. If you look at the Middle East, the Southwest Asia region, day by day, the tensions around Syria are escalating. There could be an attack on Iran by Israel and possibly by the United States, even if there is a big fight around the events of the American Benghazi consulate, and the growing anti-Western demonstrations around the release of this blasphemous video. Now, the events in Benghazi, the killing of the U.S. ambassador Stevens, have been called by Lyndon LaRouche, my husband, a 'September 11 Number Two'.
"Now, if you look at this situation as a totality, it is very clear that the Middle East has become a new Balkans, where only one more incident could trigger a chain of reactions which could lead to a thermonuclear war on a global scale. If this would happen, it would for sure mean the extinction of civilization.
"Now this is not unrelated to the fact that we are in the final phase of the collapse of the financial system of the trans-Atlantic region. Right now, both the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve have started a process of hyperinflationary printing of money, and this is threatening the entire trans-Atlantic region, very shortly, with hyperinflation like it happened in Germany in 1923.
"If you look at these two combined and interrelated dangers. we have a situation where it is very clear: civilization is about to crash against the wall. And we have to have an immediate paradigm shift, and we have to mobilize all possible forces to accomplish that."
Throughout her speech, in which Zepp-LaRouche laid out the strategic dangers in detail, as well as the horrors of a hyperinflationary policy, as now pursued by the trans-Atlantic establishment, and in the ensuing discussion, she continually came back to the possibility of changing this policy radically, providing the forces who have understood the danger, act in time.
Although the alternative proposed by Zepp-LaRouche is relatively easy to implement, she said, it requires tremendous political will. It begins with reintroducing banking separation, as under the Glass-Steagall Act in the U.S., then leaving all EU treaties from Maastricht to Lisbon in order to reestablish sovereignty over the currencies, and setting up a credit system.
Most importantly, Zepp-LaRouche insisted, we must change “our paradigm of thinking” completely, firmly rejecting the Green ideology and the oligarchichal, feudal system, which are the two sides of the same medal, and initiate a scientific and cultural Renaissance, building on the best classical traditions from all parts of the world.
